At 85 years old, Blues singer Toni Lynn Washington is Boston’s official “Queen of the Blues” She started singing as a child in her North Carolina church and by the time her family moved to Boston when Toni Lynn was in her teens, she was sneaking into clubs (she was underage)and bringing the house down. Her career has spanned seven decades and taken her from Boston to New Orleans to Hollywood and back to Boston. Toni Lynn made four records from 1995-2003, toured the world, was nominated 7 times for a Blues Music Award, received the Boston Blues Festival Lifetime achievement award, and was named “Soul-Blues Female Performer of the Year” three years in a row from 2003-2005.
Liviu Pop is a well known drummer who plays a wide variety of genres, including blues, soul, funk, jazz, electronic and experimental.
